Introduction to the world of European funding. The European Union's priorities. Presentation and explanation of the current European funds and programmes that SMEs and micro-enterprises can access. Find out who manages them, their objectives, their areas of application and their work programmes. Learn how to find a call for applications and how to analyse it: key elements of calls for applications.

Content

It is essential for companies to be open to the European arena, as the European Union offers a wide range of funding opportunities that cover different sectors of business activity.

Quite often these companies aren't aware of these opportunities or feel alienated or suspicious of them, mainly due to a lack of information. Participating in European projects is not only a way of obtaining funding, but also a way of boosting a company, creating networks with other companies/organisation and making oneself known in the European sphere.
Barcelona Activa is interested in -playing this role as a facilitator so that companies can be informed about the opportunities offered by the European Union.

General goals of the activity:

  • Provide information about European funding.
  • Understand which call for applications is the most suitable for a given idea/business sector.

Specific goals of the activity:

  1. Understand how European programmes work.
  2. Learn about the different European programmes of interest for a given sector of activity.
  3. Analyse the possibility of participating in a European programme.
  4. Learn how to find a call for applications and how to analyse it.
  5. Identify where the calls for applications are published.
  6. Key elements of a European call for applications.

IMPORTANT: This activity is carried out in two different formats: an in-person session or a virtual session. Go to the calendar on the website to check the format of each session.

Virtual session: the virtual sessions of this activity are offered via streaming using the free Microsoft Teams platform. Registered participants will receive the link by e-mail with the invitation and login instructions before the start of the session.

For Virtual Classroom activities, anyone who has logged into the space within the first 30 minutes of the training will be considered to have "attended". Those joining later will be considered to have "not attended" the training, and the corresponding certificate will not be issued.

In-person session: information about the place where the in-person session will take place, i.e., the address and the classroom, can be found on the website.

With in-person activities, registered participants must sign the attendance form at the reception desk of the corresponding facility in order to demonstrate their attendance.
